Polk Audio
I started making a "To Do" list yesterday for the boat since it comes out of storage in 26 long days. I need to replace my Sub Amp and have searching different brands. I am leaning towards a 200-300 Watt RMS Mono Amp. I came across a Polk 400W Mono amp that is rated at 200W RMS at 4 ohms. Has anyone had experience with Polk Car Audio before? I'm familiar with their home theater speakers. I found the amp on sale for $149.
For reference, I'm not looking for something that will blow everyone's ear drums, just something that will add some depth and good sound. Is there a better brand that I should look at? I was trying to stay under $200 if possible to keep the Warden happy ![]() Thanks! Fletch |

I have a PA.500 4 channel poll amp in my car and, but for its size, like it a lot.

I have a PA D series 5 channel in my boat and it's great. Haven't had it that long though. 100x4 @ 4 ohms plus 500x1 @ 1 ohm. The D series is actually marine rated too.
