My bad, I thought there were limited parts due to lower production units (can't remember where I got that from).

If I were you, I'd stay away from the tristar. Parts are hard to come by.
As mentioned, parts are easy to find. The TriStar is mechanically identical to the ProStar.

You should avoid the TriStar for other reasons: it just isn't big enough for what you want to do, and it lacks storage. If you put passengers in the front you're going to take some water over the bow. I wouldn't consider the TriStar a wakeboard boat.

Having said that, I love mine!

I wouldn't rule out the tristar but would recommend the 205 over it. The tristar 220 is rare, but is a 22 foot bow rider with integral platform which means it is essentially a bit under 21 feet. Tristar 190 is tight, I had one. But open bow helps

Any thoughts on the 270 hp. Is that plenty of giddy up and get my old fat arse out of the water?

Shameless plug!

I'm selling my 89 TriStar 190. It's listed on Boattrader.

It's a great boat and you can probably still find some threads on here showing some work I've put into it.
