Chevy suburban/tahoe 5.3 liter mpg???
That should say 5.3 liter.....what is your mpg?
If you have one of these, what kind of real mpg do you get? (solo and towing) Post the year of your truck too. I'm thinking of downsizing from my '07 Yukon Denali to a 'burban with the smaller engine.

i drive a 2003 Tahoe. 11 mpg towing, 12.5 mpg running errands, 15 mpg highway

i have 2003 yukon xl 4x4. on trips i can get 22. around town around 15. towing my x30 man it SUCKS fuel!!

I have a 2004 Yukon XL 3/4 ton, 8.1L engine. Get about 12 mpg around town and highway, about 8 mpg when towing.
My old 02' Tahoe with the 5.3L got around 15/16 in town and I think I hit 20 mpg once on the highway driving back from Wyoming (75-80 mph).

2004 Yukon XL. Wifes truck. We get the same as shamrock for highway and around town. We don't tow with it so I can't comment about that.
Haven't had any problems with it except for I had to change out the power steering pump with hoses last year. Then this year the diff bearings had to be done.

I have a 2001 Yukon, I get 18-20 highway but I do drive the speed limit. 12-15 around town depending on the season more in the summer as I'm in 4 wheel drive 90% of the time in the winter, and again 12-15 while towing depending on the terrain.

2000 suburban, 14 city, 17-18 highway empty. I haven't towed any long distance so I can't add anything here on that.
