Des Moines Iowa - Got a boat, looking for riders

Hey guys, thought I'd join in the conversation. We'll be down at the river saturday afternoon and again on sunday. Let me know if anyone wants to come down and ski, weather looks like it may not be too bad!

Mark-Where do you guys normally ski? We split time between the river and Diamondhead Lake.

SPSinclair- I believe we met last summer at the boat club. We have 2 Correct Craft Ski Tiques and a 96 Ski Nautique Open Bow that we've run down there. Hope to see you out on the water again soon.

LaRue- where do you guys do your boating?

On the Missouri River in Yankton SD, West and East Okoboji but primarily on a small lake by Spencer Iowa which will remain unnamed. We also spend two weeks up in Northern MN

SPSinclair, forgive my ignorance but where do you put in and ski in DSM. I'm looking for a place to ski in central iowa but 'm not familiar with the des moines river. I normally ski over by Muscatine on the mississippi

CC We put in at Birdland Park or Prospect Park I will PM my cell # to you and call sometime and will try and meet you there .

Birdland is on the right, Prospect is on the left and the Power Boat Club is right in the middle. You can basically ski between birdland and prospect without issue. North of prospect is alright for a ways but it can get shallow and there's a few rock bars/stumps to watch out for.

Still looking for riders one or two nights a week and weekend days, we are pretty flexible. Lost a lot of riders lately and finding dependable thirds is pretty tough it seems.

I might have to start chipping in for all the gas and give away gifts to get some riders Nights like this I hate to see the boat just sitting in the parking lot. I swear I have friends, just seems at our age (42) we all have to much going on.
