i go to silverthorn every year and it is fairly cheap especially compared to jones valley but if you get the Queen II with 10-12 people it should be decent. i go on the queen I with 8 people and pay aroud 6,000 total for 7 days. get to know the lake first if you are going wAKEBOARDING i suggest the pitt arm it has the least amount of boaters by far and the water was good last year even on 4th of july! there was hardly anybody out.

Pictures of Shasta at Turtle Bay

With rain at its lowest in years and Shasta Lake at these levels it could be trouble for all of California this summer. If the lake were to go dry it would be yet another problem for a state that is already struggling. This lake feeds the Sacramento River and most of valley depends on it for food production. Not to mention a loss of power to the grid. These are some pictures of the Shasta lake taken today at Turtle Bay campground and surrounding areas off Interstate 5.
