Shasta Lake Houseboating

Trying to finally get a houseboat trip together this year at Shasta Lake in NorCal. Any recommendations? We don't want to spend a ton as this is our first trip renting. We are thinking 10-12 adults and a Fri-Mon trip. Is this too many? We are thinking it will help defray the cost. What can we expect to spend beyond the fees quoted (fees, gas in the houseboat)?

We go to Shasta for 2-3 weeks every year. We stay at Antlers RV Park. We have rented a house boat at Antlers Marina also. We slip the boat there when at the RV Park. It's the northern most Marina on the lake and thats nice when driving down from Oregon. There are 5 MC's in our Shasta group out of 10 boats. We really like it.......

love antlers and there staff, marina staff is great as well.. that is suck a great family lake.. we have been going to antlers for 25 years plus...

Do you guys hang in the antlers arm or go elsewhere? Just wondering how crowded that arm gets?

We are there on fathers day also. Typically 2 weeks in June and another in July or August. This will be our 13th consecutive year. We have been in site 77 and 79 for years. We have about 10-14 families go.

The "boys" do the Sac arm every morning for a couple hours then head to camp for some breakfast, pick up the families and head out towards O'Brien, (most of the time) for the rest of the day.......

Its a pretty big arm about mid lake, north of the dam. There are lake maps in this link......

We need to get small MC-TT decals for our boats so we know if we see a boat with the decal there is a TT member around.......
