Fuel sender?
Is there a float / moving piece in the fuel sender on my 2006 X1 with MCX engine?
![]() ![]() My fuel gauge seems to want to tell me im always full now, i believe this happened to me once, and filling the tank up all the way knocked it back into working. Just wondering if there are actually any moving parts of my type of sender... |

Not cool. Those are the first two pictures youve ever posted without a beer or hot chick in the background. (or in a reflection).
Im having the same problem... |

Mine pretty much always reads full as well. I trialer mine and fill up every time we go out, so it's not really a problem I've looked into.

When I replace mine...the old one had a float...the new one had sensors..its only 2 years old - still working....could be a grounding issue - the new sensor did not seem as rugged as the original.

There is no float in that replacement type unit.
Did you set it for full and empty when you installed the replacement?

The one in my 97 ps205 looks very similar. It reads full when the tank is all the way full, but as it starts to empty the needle just pings from full to empty the whole time the key is on. I just ordered the replacement unit from Skidim, but haven't put it on yet. I tried messing with the old one first, but couldn't make it work any better.
