I think you are sorely mistaken (by at least a factor of 2, as mentioned above) but will also wish you luck! Have you checked NADA for a value comparison? I have found that they are usually low for ski boats (50% low isnt uncommon) but you'll find your initial asking price is over 300% of NADA.

The gel looks good in the pictures, but the rough condition of the trailer and filthy engine compartment, along with the obviously-recently-replaced interior, would lead me to believe that the boat had led a less than pampered life. Low hours wont increase value either- just as many potential buyers will view that as a negative as a positive. Lack of hours can often lead to neglect and lack of maintenance. And its not hard to disconnect an hour meter either. Boats of this age (20+ years old) are more often judged based on condition than hours... a compression test will reveal whether the engine is tired or not. Other items (electrical, steering cable, control cables) will go bad just from age and exposure to moisture, rather than use.

Just my 2 cents... take it for what its worth!

You are priced way too hight IMO. If the boat and trailer came out of the factory and sat in a bubble for the past 22 years it would still be way too high. Many comparable boats are selling for under $10K.

With that said I hope you do get near what you are asking.

Many thought this boat was overpriced (myself included) and it is less than that in the OP and completely refurbished trailer... http://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk/...ad.php?t=36611

socceroneton,

Just a suggestion here, so take it for what it's worth

1. PM Sodar or JohnE and have this thread deleted.
2. Clean and detail the engine, detail the boat also so it shows no dirt or footprints on the gelcoat.
3. Refurbish trailer or take pics of boat in water without trailer in present condition.

4. Take new pics set a reasonable price for boat only. The trailer is not worth much in this condition so maybe price boat without trailer and say "trailer available for $??? more.

Just my $.02

Just saying he may want to start over with the marketing of his boat. That includes better pics, pricing and presentation. Nothing sneaky about it, but the dirty engine and trailer in the pic does nothing to compliment that beautiful interior and gelcoat.

If you had your house on the market with weedy landscape you would start over with better pics too. Just sayin'

Having bought and sold a 91 TriStar within the last few years, ditto to what the guys above said re: price.
Heck, I bought my 01 X5 in Nebraska for $15k two years ago. Boat and trailer were in excellent condition and had only 400 hrs.

I would be glad to delete this thread so he can start over. But he may be better served by leaving it and cutting original price by $10k and letting buyer think its a steal...
