X2 stock ballast
Does anyone know how much stock ballast the X2 (2011) has and the amount for each tank? I see conflicting numbers on this. I have read or been told anywhere from 650 lbs to 950 lbs. Nothing in the owners manual either. Thanks.

Thought I'd reply but don't quote me...200lbs in each rear tank and 350lbs in KGB (front). I have an 07 X2, I have added the 400lbs fly high in rear lockers all plumbed in plus just fitted the integrated bow sac, manual fill at the moment. I think the bow sac may add 500lbs and with 4 peeps in the boat the wake is solid with a sweet transition and a lip to boot. Real happy with this setup

Thanks for the reply. I have read on this site before that the rear tanks were 200#. Wakemakers told me they were 250# and the dealer told me they were 300#. Just a little confusing. Sounds like you have a sweet setup. I'm happy with the wake for boarding but I'm going to try and improve it for surfing. I'm going to add the 455# rear sac for sure and probably a 370# tube sac on the surfside. I'm just trying to put an exact number to the amount of ballast.

we have the stock ballast plus 450# in rear port side locker and ice chest filled with 175# of weights and just the driver and it is an ok surf wake. Wife free surfs it but not enough push for me so still have to hang on. i guess i just need more weight or bigger board.

i think the 200 lb in each rear is correct. i also have the fly high x2 rear ballast bags on top of the tanks. i added the surf sac last year when it's just a friend and i at the lake... wow

I can't believe know one has the answer to this... Prior to the increase total was 550#, 250# KGB and 150# in each rear, so the 200# number for the rears sounds correct but it could be 250#, I do not think the KGB has any more room to increase, but I have not looked at new ones to notice.
The 250# in each rear makes sense, this would give you 750# total weight. The X2 for wakeboarding anyway likes and does very well with a 60 rear to 40 front ratio. My set up is stock, 425# filled to 75-80% capacity in the rears, KGB full and a 350# center if we are 5 or less people in the boat. |

Where did you install the surf sac, the L shape has me confused unless it sits on the rear seat area. Does anyone use the portable 150# little fat sacs?

I emailed Mastercraft about this and according to one of their tech guys the kgb is 250# and each of the rear tanks is 150#. A little surprised it's not more and that this info isn't listed somewhere like the owners manual.

What year is your X-2? Newer X-2 have bigger tanks in the rear!
