Wow, that poor boat must have been exposed to the sun non-stop. Great work.

I have the exact color of your boat in a 1984. I bought mine new and have files on where to get a lot of parts. I also have new dash switches for the 1984-85 year model. You can contact Keith at 972-998-1885.

A really nice looking machine. I can tell you're proud of it... I like skiing but messing with the boats themselves is where my boating pleasure lies... Excellent 84 model..... I've had several of them over the years..... Looks like an old Wheel Horse on the lawn. Is it for sale? . I would like to see a full set of pictures of your boat if you have time to post up in the next few days. . .

When removing the old carpet, remove it in as much of one piece as you can. It will serve you well as a template for cutting the new pieces. I promise this will save you time and headaches..... don't go ripping it out like a wild man.... .

Tonight I removed the trailer...that was a trick. I figured it's not really enhancing the look of the boat. (wife thinks I'm over the edge...and she's prob right) |

Looks like this is a popular color to restore! If you need any help or have questions please feel free to ask, our 83 went through this last year and came out a 29 year old new boat. So far you look to be off to a great start! This site flat out RULES I couldnt have done it without them!

Beautiful Stars and Stripes. I recently aquired my first MC (1988 ProStar 200 - Outboard).

a few more pics. After buffing the entire boat, I decided the trailer looked bad! Sooo, another project begins. I'm thinking of painting the fenders in red to match center stripe of boat. Any thoughts??
Also, doing away with nonfunctional surge brakes (boat's not that heavy anyway), new swivel jack, rims and tires. |
