Pricing help '97 Prostar 205

I bought this boat this summer for 14k (thought it was a pretty good deal) and have added a few things that, in my opinion, add value. I was wondering what others thought would be a fair price as I'm looking for a V-drive.

Basic info: 830 hrs, new engine (not LT1) put in by PO at 775 hours that still has a year on the warranty. Upholstery was done this past summer except engine cover which has been quoted at $350. The carpet is in decent shape. The oil pressure and fuel gauge aren't working but I think this is shouldn't be more than $100 for sending units. Mechanically it is sound. I did have some issues with the fuel system early but Texas Ski ranch checked it out and said it was just loose connections and hasn't had any issues since (have spare fuel pump). The trailer has some rust and the right trailer fender has a chunk missing from PO.

I added:
new trailer tires along with a spare, replaced trailer bunk boards
6.5" HLCD tower speakers (200x2), 10" JL sub (500x1) and 2 memphis marine speakers (off clarion radio)
skiboatcovers custom cover
compound/waxed hull, resanded teak
I bought supplies to install plumbed in ballast but haven't installed yet (won't if I sell)

I think 14.5k seems reasonable but would like to get others input (I know bad time to sell). Thanks

If you can get the engine box recovered for $350, I would think it would be money well spent. In my eyes, the condition of that cover tells me a tale of harder times.

I think your price is in line. I sold a couple 205's this year, one was in worse condition (sold for 13,500) and one was in near mint condition (sold for $17,00) I'd go 11K on it since it's winter time!

As said above I would definitely recover the engine box before you try and sell. With it done the boat will look clean. As is with that box the boat looks rough and shows the previous owners neglect.

thanks for the insights, I would agree that marketability would be increased with the engine cover reupholstered.
