I guess he wanted more than 373 for it., personally I would be worried that all the seals have dried out from sitting for 27 years...

He listed it in collectibles, rather than ebay Motors. I am sure if he relisted it in the correct spot, he would have no problem fetching the $600 he is asking. Not that it is tough to do or even affects the function, but maybe painting it black would help. Not many people have metallic blue motors that they would want to mate that trans up with!

Thats what I figured... but the reserve was met- seller's remorse?

At $600, I didnt think it was any deal. For $150-200 more, you can get freshly rebuilt tranny, as opposed to one that was removed 25 years ago for an unknown reason.

It looked to be painted a shade similar to Old Ford blue, which would match many of the engines used through the early 70's (Interceptor, Conqueror, etc) - as well as the later Crusaders.
