Will this fit in a 2003 X2? And if so, how big of a lift is it - ECM, MMDC, throttle linkage, exhaust system, transmission, all that need to be redone?

would be upgrading from Predator RTP

The LY6 should physically fit since it is another GM small block, same with your tranny. Indmar uses the same tranny across their engine product line. You might need a larger diameter exhaust but the issues you might have are with the electronic throttle and connecting to the LY6 ECM and wiring harness. I am sure there is a way to make it work but checking with your MC dealer might be a good place to start or someone on TT might know the anwser.

Austin,

I just checked with my dealer and they said it would be very tight fit so it would be chance you might not want to take. The LY6 is a little wider than a 350 and the electronic throttle and wiring harness connections would be a huge challenge. Might not be worth the effort or expense - I hate saying that when I am trying to sell the engine but just providing the best info I can. If you are willing to take on the challenges let me know.

Right on, appreciate the effort Forrest! I can foresee a great deal of hidden costs associated with parts of this conversion now, just thought I would test the waters. Probably not a valuable endeavor being that my RTP runs like a champ, but I do feel slight hit to the pride when I compare acceleration with my buddies MCX. There's got to be a better way to level the playing field.....

thanks again,
Austin

I'd be all over this if I didn't have a perfectly functioning 350! Anybody want to buy a 350 so I can buy this?

Make me an offer I can't refuse.

i would be very interested in your 350, please email me and we can talk details- i need a vortec 350 and almost everything else that comes with it to make it run... and you would be getting all that for your new motor. this could work.... email me at ranger098@gmail.com.

sorry that i dont need your LY6, but i would run into the same problems as the other guy with an X2 above, i have an 04 x2.
