We have a house on Okanagan lake here that is anchored and pays no taxes

lots of people complain about the no tax thing, but there is nothing that the city can do

Come to Louisiana, plenty of anchored camps...Might not want to ski the waters they are anchored in though.

Yeah, but technically TVA has them as illegal, grandfathering in the ones built before 1978. The new ones have to be built on a hull or pontoons (no dock floats), have a motor, some type of steering mechanism, nav lights, and a 180 deg view from the pilot station. In other words, they must be navigable. Obviously most never move, but technically they are supposed to be able to.

I think the catch on Norris was that it is not a navigable waterway (no lock). Some of the older marina's still have lots of the grandfathered ones.
