So how many extra 1000ths did you have machined off for the extra get up and go?

It was ever so slightly warped, but obviously enough to cause blown gaskets... The outer part of the head was all flat, but there was an inner ring that was about .002-.0025" lower. That would make sense because that's where the gasket was blown (between the dome and water jacket). Ended up taking off .004" IIRC, so not much change in compression. Just got it so the entire head was flat all the way around.

This is a fairly common problem on this bike specifically. I got to thinking that the cause may be that they use a metal gasket, as opposed to an o-ring that are used on every other color 125 I've had (other than orange). Just a speculation, but I hope it lasts now! It fired up after 3 kicks last night, so I'm going to hit up a practice sand track in a couple hours here...
