Yes!

For 5 million I could get a 10 thousand sq ft house on the lake with that boat dock in Texas, on a cliff with a literal elevator to take me from the house to the dock.

The house also has a bowling alley and a massive theater and a elevator. And a swimming pool with a stone waterfall with a cave under hiddenh hot tub. This was one of my friends houses, and I dont think they even sold it for close to 4 mil.

Our real estate is vastly different than in Texas. House prices down there bow my mind.

Really depends on locations and the housing market. That same house on a lake in the Seattle area would fetch around $15 mil. There have been a few houses on Lake Washington north of $20 mil. The thought has crossed my mind a few times about moving to TX or AZ.

problem with Texas lake front homes is the lakes don't hold water so your boat sits high and dry on the lift unless you're sit'n on Lake Austin

Great point there. Lake front is rubbish with no water.
