1980 S+S fuel tank

How big is the fuel tank in these boats? I have put 12.1 gallons in so far but not sure I trust the replaced gauge. Thanks in advance.

Just listen at the top of the fill tube and you'll know. Stations with loud music suck.

My 84 has a 25 gallon tank. Mine actually has a label on it (on the tank) that lists capacity.
