to you guys in the raleigh area, i've always wondered this, but can you ski or put a boat in at wheeler? i used to ski and fish a lot in jordan and harris when i lived closer, haven't been to either in a long time. i ski on the tar most of the time now in greenville, but i really hate it. i also still go to white lake, but will only attempt to ski at sunrise or go to baytree. white lake was nice when i was little, but way too busy for me. when my parents decided to build another house there, i tried to talk them out of it and go to baytree, but for some reason they didn't want to. i think they are kinda regretting it now as it has only gotten busier in the last 3-4 years that they have built their house.

Live in Clayton, usually boat at Kerr Lake. It was surprisingly not that crowded this past Sunday, although Saturday we gave up around 2 because of the tubers

Yeah I haven't been to Kerr in years either. I'm hoping that my wife will get transfered with her job soon (promotion) to the triangle area. I would like to live in the clayton, garner, fuquay area. Would be on the water a lot more than I am now, that's for sure. I am real easy to the river and it's a short ride to washington where it opens up and is cleaner, i just don't like the river much, always scared i'm going to hit something and tear my boat up.

Yes. I think it cost $5 to put in there. It is really small so if there are a couple people skiing it's trashed. May be tolerable for boarding. I only live a few miles from there and have never had my boat out there. We go to Harris most of the time. Jordan the rest. Jordan is much larger than Harris, more places to hide and find good water.

Gotcha....I was thinking you could, but wasn't sure. I may give it a whirl one day just for something different. As far as Harris and Jordan go, used to go there all the time. I grew up between Dunn and Fayetteville, so when I wasn't as White or Baytree lake, I was at Harris or Jordan. As far as leaving Greenville, I was starting to wonder about myself....

I may be crazy but I've been to harris and didn't like it one bit. Water was beat to hell, the launch sucked, and didn't have the coves I liked. Falls imho has some of the best riding spots in the area
