cigarette lighter fuse
I am looking for a blown fuse on my 89 tristars cigarette lighter. The wiring for the cigarette lighter is connected to a brown with a black stripe wire by the horn (I have a closed bow) Test light shows its out with key in any position.
I traced wires under the dash and down to the floor, I can't find any inline fuse. Where would be a logical place to look Thanks |

alright, I found that the previous owner had tapped off the auto bilge pump switch wire. turn on the switch and it powers the cigarette lighter.

I thought the same thing. No wonder why it took me a while to find and never found a inline fuse. I think I will move it to a circuit that has a fuse in case something shorts.

Sounds like a good plan. You just never know what you will find with a used boat.
