New Trailer Winch

I'm shopping for a new winch and came across this one. Never seen one before, but it looks pretty nice. I think the selectable direction knob is a nice feature if it will hold up... Anybody used one?

Only had one review and it wasn't good. You never know about reviews on the internet.

Installed one a few months ago as a replacement. It's a great match if you've got the F2 jack as well. It's very sturdy / heavy duty. Very well made, and has a real long strap on it, reaches almost to the end of the trailer for our X-9. The only drawback is that it's fairly large, and you may have to drill new mounting holes a little foward of the old ones if you can, to get a bit more clearance. It will probably outlast the boat, the trailer, and me.

Agreed. You wonder if the guy was using it right or just got a defective one that should be replaced easy enough. BTW, there were 4 other reviews and they were all positive.

Brucemac and pRic both have them. I have not heard a complaint about it.

Thread jack alert --- While on the subject of jacks... i need to replace the winch strap. Suggestions??? Strap vs. cable?? If you go with the cable, what else has to be modified?

Thanks,

Joe

Yup, the page didn't completely load for me the first time. My guess is that the idiots didn't know how to use it.
