New Trailer Winch
I'm shopping for a new winch and came across this one. Never seen one before, but it looks pretty nice. I think the selectable direction knob is a nice feature if it will hold up... Anybody used one?

Installed one a few months ago as a replacement. It's a great match if you've got the F2 jack as well. It's very sturdy / heavy duty. Very well made, and has a real long strap on it, reaches almost to the end of the trailer for our X-9. The only drawback is that it's fairly large, and you may have to drill new mounting holes a little foward of the old ones if you can, to get a bit more clearance. It will probably outlast the boat, the trailer, and me.

Thread jack alert --- While on the subject of jacks... i need to replace the winch strap. Suggestions??? Strap vs. cable?? If you go with the cable, what else has to be modified?
