Says it is usualy found in warm fresh water lakes... what is warm? The lake I spend most of my time (Lake Wabamum) hovers between 67-71 F.

Tragic, but I also know of several people who are immune. Remember reading about that back in the 70's. Always in the back of my mine anytime we went to the lake instead of staying on our river.

ICBW, but I think I remember reading a few years ago that it was when the water got above 80. Whatever it is, I'd never call 71F warm.

Our lake was 92 a few weeks ago. Has dropped to mid 80s with recent rains.

Its also more common in lakes with little water flow. Our water temp is mid-80s but we have a pretty good flow through the dam so its never been an issue. Also we are pretty deep and I believe this is generally an issue in shallower lakes where the bottom gets stirred up.
