Riding Goofy port side

So how many goofy footers ride on the port side so you don't have to keep resetting the boat up? How much different is it?

Hey Trig-I ride goofy on the port side, and always have. Years ago, I thought it was the way to go since I am mainly on my heels, but once I realized it is not the way to do it, I tried the starboard side, and couldn't surf at all! I think doing 360s, etc. will be harder, as you will be turning toward your back, but I have just started playing with that, so don't really have a feel for it yet. Loving the port side now. Is that what you are doing?

I've been riding on the starboard side but with a boat full of regular footers, moving fat sacs around is a pain so I was contemplating switching sides. Here's a pic of my goofy wave today with just 2 people in the boat.

that is a sweet looking wave. Way long! Let me know how the change to goofy is...apparently you have surfed the starboard side before? I swear it was so awkward for me. Need to work on that so I am not a goofy portsider!

I am goofy and I just forced myself to learn regular from the start. The only other goofy rider we had behind the boat actually got up goofy and rode on the port side with his heels to the wake. Made for some interesting falls..
