Is the 04 XStar boat pattern the same as the 07 XStar?

I need a new towing cover. Evolution covers, http://evolutioncovers.com/ tells me they only have a 2004 XStar pattern. I believe the deck is the same - is that right? What about the tower support locations - are they the same? I need to know as Evolution says if it doesn't match, the $1000 cover will NOT fit.

The deck should be the same for sure, and I assume the tower location is the same also.

Have you checked www.skiboatcovers.com? I heard they have nice covers, my buddy had one for his X-1 and I'm sure it was way less than $1000.

The 04 had the different style tower. I'd be concerned that the tower cutouts might not be large enough.

That said, I am sure some simple measurements could be taken to turn the '04 cover into one that works for you.





Post pics of the Evo cover when you get it. They looks sick! the skiboatcovers.com covers are good for storage, but the Evo covers are trailerable.

If my X-star didn't come with a cover at all I would have looked into the 2-piece snap cover for trailering. I've had snap covers on other boats before (non-MC) and they were great. The cover for my 30' Formula was easier to install and smaller than my full-size X-star cover....and it didn't rub the gelcoat.

My boat lives in a pole barn so my full size cover is mostly just to keep out the dust. I do use it for docking when we vacation with the boat but I don't trailer with it.
