1998 mastercraft 205 fuel filter

Hi! I have a quick question about the fuel filter on the 1998 205. I noticed the boat starving for fuel around 25 MPH. I took the fuel filter out and blew through it and the problem resolved its self (A little debris cam out). 1 week later the problem is back. DIM website says the part would be a Indmar fuel filter for very little money (Part# 556003). Is there something else I should replace. 1st post. Thanks for taking a look.

Scott

There are two fuel filters: 1 at the engine, 1 at the gas tank... replace them both. They are the exact same filter, so just buy two, of the same. The one at the gas tank can be a pain... but if you take the back seat out, you can get to it easy. 7/16" to remove the seat. Put new ones in.

Dont forget about the Siphon on top of the gas tank.. That bearing and spring can get gummed up...

Thanks for the tip. I have the online 1998 manual, but I can't seem to find out anything as to a drawing that would show the location of these items.

Thanks again!
