Help picking new boat

So lost my last boat a few years back to a wild fire. Finally getting around to getting a new boat. Owned MC's in the past Looking to board 30-40 % surf 30-40% relax and chill 30-40%. Looking to pick up a 2011 maybe a new 2012 and defiantly some fat sacks. Looking at the 25,35,45, and possibly a star. Like the idea of a bigger boat live in san diego and liked going to the bay once or twice during the season. Just seeing what you think would fill my needs.

Welcome! A Saltwater series version sounds like a must for you. I have a star so I can only comment on that, but I've heard the X-25 has a great wake for wakeboarding and surfing. More interior space than my x-star also. If I were in the market for a good all-around boat I'd choose the X-25 (or for bigger waters the other 2 are great choices as well.

Happy shopping!

Sounds like your wife or GF left you and took the boat and now you're ready for a new one with some love handles

X25.... And I would try to find a 2011 for the following reasons-

1-ZFT-3 tower is the best looking IMO, and they are ditching it for 2012

2-The price on a 2012 X25 went up $12,000.00

3-2012 has a touch screen BIG. Some may like it, I dont.

Really glad I got a 2011. I would have purchased a SAN 230 if my only tower choices were the ZFT-5p and the ZFT-2 on a MC.....Which is the case for 2012.

I am going to +1 the X25 Saltwater Series and I would caution you to stay away from the X15/X2/XStar if you're going to go in the ocean or any other "big water." I'm not saying you couldn't get away with one of those boats but the X25's hull was made for it with a very deep V design. It's also throws an exceptional wakeboard wake with the stock ballast (and only gets better when you add weight).

I like the idea of the x25 being the csx 220 hull.
No imput on the x45 like the extra room
Dont see why you need a 90 gal tank tho.

i think having it taken would of been less sad than loosing it to a fire. ( ill try to find the pics)
Nothing quite finding a charred trailer with a engine block and pools of aluminium on the driveway.

The 45 is a wicked all around boat. Puts all others interior space to shame (including the 55). We have had nothing but positive comments about the surf and wakeboard wake from friends that have a 35 and another couple that have a 55. Apparently our wake is superior to theirs.

The 45 is a great boat on big water as well, so the Bay shouldn't effect the boats performance at all.
