2011 X14 w/ Ilmor 6.0 performance problems!!

I have a 2011 X14 w/ Ilmor 6.0. I have 30hrs on it, poor hole shot and sluggish mid-range. Top end 40 MPH at 5000 RPM. I feel with this new motor from Ilmor and the R&D put into it, this baby should have the power and the top end! There is a serious problem. For the 5K engine upgrade something is not right. My kids wakeboard and I am a barefooter, hence the reason for the engine upgrade. Bigger boat, more horsepower to offset....

Is it prop sizing issues? Is it transmission issues? Is it not enough air flow?

Is this a problem that has just popped up of has it been sluggish from the delivery?

It has been sluggish from delivery!! I thought after break-in that it would improve.

I ran into a 55 at Mead that was saying the same thing. Glad I have the LSA super charged. All the over heating issues fixed, running like a champ.... I am sure Ilmor will get it dialed in.

Do you know if you have the updated ECM?

I have the 6l ilmore in our x25- definately not sluggish.

There is an ECM update that you need to find out if the boat has. Have you had it in for the post break-in inspection?

Our PS214 w/ MCX and all the X14 options runs between 46-49 mph depending on load, and has a monster hole shot. Seems to me there is definatly something not right with your rig

Something sounds wrong our 5.7 Ilmore runs at 45-46 with a nice hoe shot. I came from a 205 an it is comparable
