Air Chairing behing my Xstar

Recently took up air chairing, and to say the least it is something else. I wakeboard, slalom ski, wakesurf, kneeboard, and tube, so I do about everything. Actually I joke with my wife that "If it has a rudder I can steer it, if it has wings I can fly it, if has tires I can drive it, if it is a board I can stay on it, and if it has hair I can ride it." But I digress, my question is, I have been able to get up on the board and can somewhat go up and down on the foil. I know there are experienced riders on here, can anyone give me any good tips on how to progress and get better on this thing.

Seat time my brutha! If you ever have a chance to attend a 'fly-in' in your area, you should! Lots of people there that are more than willing to help you learn this great facet of skiing! the Ga. Mountain Fly-in is the 2nd weekend in August @ beautiful lake Chatuge, in Hiwassee, Ga. I don't think thats too far from you. here's the info..

Finally getting it

This was me last week. I still do not feel like I have it perfectly, but at least I can ride and bring the foil back down under control.

Not bad! You might wanna up your speed 1-2 MPH. That should make it a little easier to ride.

I would up the speed a bit (shoot for around 15 to 18). Also looks like you are sitting up pretty straight, or your butt is hanging off the back of the seat. Generally, you want your butt flush with the back of the seat. I tell new riders to arch your back a bit so you are still sitting up pretty straight, but your shoulders are further in front of your hips. This changes the way the board rides, so you end up using your hands a bit more to make the board go up and down. Once you find the sweet spot, the board will easily go up and down by moving your hands up or down (move your hands down to go up and up to go down) You have the right idea of staying right behind the boat and working on going up and down. Once you can control the board behind the boat, it is time to start crossing the wake.
