Question X15 surf set up??

Ive had this boat for a year now and the surf wake still isnt dialed in. i run the surf tab at 50 percent down, and stock port ballast and 2 400's on the port side at 10 mph. its mediocre at best. any suggestions? one sac is in the port locker and the other is on the seat in front of the locker.

Aric you can get a nice surf wave in the X15. Leave the surf tab alone initially, it will only clean up the face of your wave at best. Fill stock port and put atleast 400lbs in the locker on top of it full as well. Put 400 on the seat in the corner where you have it. Fill the KGB tank and put another 300-400 up front on the port side seat (2 bricks if you can get them). Adjust surf tab to clean. This will produce a nice surf wave...atleast it does on my buddies X15...we have played with it a TON.

P.S. you should not have to drive in a circle or even turn with this set up. Just say no to circles.

Yeah, something is off from this pic. I would guess your speed. Probably too slow......Need more weight to get the boat over on the side. I would never do this, but having someone stand on the gunnel holding onto the tower while leaning out of the boat will clean that wave up

Aric, put that starboard side surf tab all the way down to lean the boat over a bit more as well.

Ill try putting more weight up front, hopefully that does it. If not I'll just put more sacs in it. The wakeboarding wake on the x 15 is unbelievable, but the surf wake has me upset.

We my friend I got the same boat. My setup is 400 lb sac in rear portside. Fill stock tanks center and port along with 400 lb sac on port side. Fill stb 40 % only. Leave surf tabs all up. (they are useless) I have surfed over a hour at one time with no rope with that setup. Aimming for the world record 4 hours before long.

I have the 1500# sac in my port locker (after I fill the port ballast). Take the screws out of the rear panel in the locker before you do this. It will fill up the entire locker and spill into the storage area under the corner seat which works great. I then also have a sac under the seat where the cooler usually is which fills it completely. Fill your KGB and leave starboard empty. Any persons in your boat have them sit on the port side. It actually makes a difference if the driver stands in the middle of the boat while driving vs. sitting on the seat. My boat does not have tabs. Hope this helps.
