Original XStar/X2/X1 trailered height for garage door dimensions?

Quick question for those of you that have the original XStar/X2/X1 - how small a garage door will it fit through?

I picked up a '03 X2 this summer and it is currently on the lift, so I can't get dimensions on how big (most notably - how tall) it is with the zero-flex folded down.

My buddy's got a garage I can store it in if it fits, but the door is only 119" wide and 96" tall and that seems really small. (Not to mention the garage is only 126" wide inside the door).

Thanks,

Michael!

pretty sure whether or not you have a tandem or a single axel trailer will make a difference too

8 foot tall and 10 foot wide door. You will have no problem with that. I have a 2006 X2 that is wider than your boat and can fit it in a single car door that is 7 foot tall. Hope this helps

Ahh - good point - thanks!

Tandem Mastercraft trailer in my case. 96" wide at the widest of the (cheap, plastic) fenders. Does the hull/tower sit out wider than the fenders?

KnoxX2 I would say is correct. You should have no problem getting that in.

I have an 03 X2 on a single axle trailer and it's about 87" tall when attached to the truck. I have to take it off the truck and lower the jack all the way down to get it to fit in my 84" tall garage door.

I've got a newer model tower on my X-1, and 4 tower speakers which limit how far it will lower. But mine can be "shoe horned" through a standard single car garage door. I bet yours will fit. Also, if it is to be stored all winter, you could let some air out of the tires to get it in!

Michael,

You should be good. I have a tight garage like the one you described. It's 7.5' tall by 10' wide. I got a 2003 X-10 in there. After you fold the tower, I had to take an extra step to fold the tower legs at the hinge point. You might have to do this, but I doubt it since you have another 6" for height.

I have an 03 X-2 with the original OEM Zero Flex Tower and a dual axle MC trailer (14in MC rims and Goodyear Marathons) and mine fits in my garage with a 7ft header. It's actually a little less when you factor in the trim, probably around 6ft 9in or so. I think I get a little bit of help because my driveway is a slight incline so when the window frame and the highest part of the folded tower are about to go through the opening, my tounge is lower than normal due to the incline.
