What is your X2 top speed ?
I think I saw a advertisement stating that the X2 top speed is about 47mph. Has anybody else found this to be true? My X2 will reach a top speed of about 39mph with no ballast and only me in the boat. Any ideas? I am going to see what prop I have and maybe this is the reason, to high of a pitch, but it still reaches 5050 rpm's.

Way too slow! What size prop do you have? I get about 45 to 47 with me and now ballast. It's by the speedo's and may not be totally accurate. Does it feel like 39 or maybe just an error on the speedo's? Check with GPS if you can. I check my prop and it's 13.7 X 17 and if I remember correctly I am about 5200 to 5300 WOT rpms but don't hold me to that.

Have you run a GPS? That will get you close. My buddy was telling me I was aksing to go faster until he was pulling me at 42 behind his X-9. He also said he pinned the speedos! After we ran it on the GPS he was 13 MPH off! Anyway the RPM's for that size of ride sound close but Erk or Jim @ Baws may be able to clear that one up.

I get about 47 with ballast on clean water. never tried without ballast lets you know this sunday as i will be boarding

You should definetly be getting more than 39mph....which engine do you have in the boat? I'm not all that familiar w/ the salt water packages, but the MCX and RTP will do better than 39. Let us know your WOT RPM's.
Your rev limiter should hit right around 5200/5300 RPMs
