There will be a new X-Star. Pretty sure its gonna be released for the 2012 model year, but at the latest 2013. It will be a bigger boat. The X80s are no longer available. There will be a boat to replace the x80, but it wont be released until 2014 at the earliest.

after seeing the power tower, I'm pumped that they are going all 2 point towers, one manual and the other power.

also, while I won't be purchasing one, I'm interested to see what they do with the X Star. In my mind, the X25 is so good that the X Star has become an even smaller niche boat. I say go crazy with it.

It's too bad about the X1.

Overall I'm excited to see what MC comes out with in 2012.

I understand times change but I was out this weekend skiing, boarding and surfing my x1. Did all three extremely well. Guess I'll have to hold on to my classic.

So I hear there will be 3 variants of tower, all two point. The X-Star as expected will be extended by 1.5 feet.

Isn't the X15 a boat that does all three pretty well too?

Absolutely, just at a higher price. But you also get a lot more room and better rough water ride. X15 probably surfs and boards better than X1 and X1 ski's a bit better.
