Perfect Pass Display

So my boat has the PP lcd screen, and ive notice that sometimes when it rains a lot or is humid out the LCD flickers and sometimes it will actually disappear completely. Usually after a few hours in the sun it comes back and looks fine. Even when it disappears the buttons beep and it engages fine.

Anyone else have this problem?

I have a 2006 X30 with factory perfect pass. I have not noticed the display fading or diappering. Seems like it is always on.

Good Luck!

Just talked to PP people, seems like the old green display was victim to humidity and shorting causing the display to turn off. It resolves it's self when it drys. The newer screens which are white / blue (LCD) are suppose to be better.

$199 ...

What color is your LCD? Not the bezel but the actual LCD.

Have the same issue with mine, even posted recently on it. Might just live with it until it gets unbearable, hard to justify 200 bucks for an intermittent problem.

the guy from PP said you could spray the rear of the display with some kind of coating but they didnt recommend a user do it ... suppose to seal it up etc...

I have a used single line display for $75 if anyone is looking for a replacement- I just found out I need a multiline display so this one won't work for me.
