How to remove dash gauge from 04 X-30

I need to replace the Perfect Pass display on my 2004 X-30. Do I have to pull the entire dash out? I started to take out the small allen head screws around the gauges but they appear to be cosmetic only.

Hopefully there is a trick to this. Thanks in advance for your help.

You will probably have to pull the whole dash out. The allen screws are actually what holds it on but there are wing nuts on the back. You have to have someone access them from behind the dash through a relatively small opening in the fiberglass. Kind of a stupid design if you ask me.
hope this helps

I changes the speedometer out for a PP gauge on my '00 230 VRS without removing the dash. I just laid on my back, reached up there and did it blind in about 8-10 mins. Not sure if yours would be the same though.
