Removing a Windshield

How difficult is it to remove a windshield?
What are the steps involved?
Who makes the 04 windshields for MC?

Let's bump this up to the top. I'm curious.

I think it's many a screw and some bolts underneath the deck. I still can't figure out how to tighten the one nearest the dash on mine.

To me, this forum is about love of inboard boats. It is about the sharing of information and, on a good day, some humor. It is not about post count, brand of boat, or any other superfluous labels that lend themselves to a false sense of superiority. Please, respect one another, try to pass on accurate information, and keep your eye on the ball.

some guys at my ski site busted a windshield in an 03 malibu & the w/s has been discontinued or something so he will be installing an entire new one (if I heard him right)
I'll ask him what all that job entails next time I see him FWIW.

You take the rubber insert out at the bottom of the windshield to reveal the screw heads or bolt heads. Generally the manufacture of the windsheilds will only sell to the manufacture of the boat if it is a recent model. Sometimes the manufacture of the windshield will sell to the dealer without going through the manufacture of the boat. Your best bet is through the dealer of the boat.

When you say windshield are you talking about just the glass, or the entire glass/frame assembly?
