Is this price reasonable?
So I've been looking for a X-Star/X-2/X-1 for some time now, and have come across this '01 X-Star in Rogers, AR. 294 Hours, $33,000.
http://www.skiandsports.net/pre_owne...R0&veh=2143012 Does that seem right at all, or too high? I've seen prices all over the place for this hull. Any advice? Thanks Last edited by cav14; 06-09-2011 at 08:01 PM. |

Thats an old boat for that kind of loot. You for sure could find an X1 2006 or 2007 model for close to that or a bit more. An X2 in the 2006 model is going to run you around 40k best case scenario. Keep looking, my opinion.

Dang, not many out there to choose from...This one is local to me. Let me know if you want me to check it out for you. Key word, 'flexible' on pricing

You might keep looking. I got my 01 X10 330hp Indmar with 100 hours for $26k. If I'm not mistaking it's the same hull as the early Xstars?

You are mistaken. He is right, X-Star, X-2, X-1, same hull. Love the boat. Love X-10 hull, too. One of the most underrated in the MC lineup....

If you need someone to look at that boat in Rogers for you let me know. My boat is actually in that shop right now getting some work done.

The boat is priced correctly for the time of year which translates into it being priced too high for anyone looking for a fair/good deal. Unless you really need/want a boat for this season I'd pass, another better deal will be around. Boat prices (at least around here) will start falling again in August and will plummet in September - October.
I sold a 03 X2 with 125 hours two years ago for $32K and followed that by buying an 07 X2 a week later for $40K. I sold and made my purchase in early March. |

seems a bit high in my book ... agree, the nose damage seems like boat buddy was hungry or dock rash. Pics on the water, different registration than those on trailer (appears to be different state sticker).
a couple in my area that recently hit the Austin TX craigslist... '04 X2 comes with slip on Lake Austin $33,900 (Austin, TX) ... I think I looked at this same boat 2 years ago (was then priced at $36K?), only issue I had was no trailer and I thought it was a bit over priced. I am guessing the reasoning for being re-painted was it living in a slip, with bottom scum/algea. http://austin.craigslist.org/boa/2429036225.html '99 X-Star with trailer $17,500 ... no mention of hours. I also think I looked at this boat which was on consignment at the Austin MC Dealer, Boat Town, 2 years ago. One of my concerns was the early era seating does not have the wrap-around down the side (limited seating), fair condition (when I looked at it, if it is the same boat?). Appears to be on consignment again in Burnet, TX (my home town). http://austin.craigslist.org/boa/2427005305.html and more info at http://youparkwesell.com/detail.html?id=4dee9a8346bb9 if interested, I could take a look at either of these for more details and/or pictures... |

That seems really high. Check inboardsonly.com they usually have a large number of postings, and can be searched by state...
