replacement carpet for trailer sides

anybody got an idea for replacing the carpet on the sides of the trailer (wheel wells) -I have done the bunks, but the side pieces are hemmed around the edges, so if I just cut carpet, it will likely fray - any thoughts?

I took a cig lighter/candle lighter and quickly went around the edges of mine and so far they haven't frayed a bit.

I found It - you need a carpet binder- person who hems the edges for rugs and what not - we found one in town, stopped there during lunch - $25 for both sides!

Sweet! I need to do mine. Just did the bunks a few weeks ago. I need to pull the fenders though. I'm planning on resparaying them. They're looking rough.

Maybe this seems cheesy however I used a couple foam / rubber backed black carpet mats I got from HD or Lowes. Cut them and stuck them down with some Rino tape. Worked great and have held up well so far. Nice part was with the backing the edges can't fray
