Since I have 15s on my trailer, I went with the Maxxis (couldn't do Kumho in that size). After all I have read, I'll see if I can get better life than 4 years. Should be here in a few days.

To me, this forum is about love of inboard boats. It is about the sharing of information and, on a good day, some humor. It is not about post count, brand of boat, or any other superfluous labels that lend themselves to a false sense of superiority. Please, respect one another, try to pass on accurate information, and keep your eye on the ball.

You should be happy with the Maxxis tires. Realistically, anything more than 5 years on a trailer tire is beyond reasonable expectations.

I would have looked at replacing them next season had I not seen this. I don't put a lot of miles on the trailer, but the asphalt is hot in Texas.

I believe that would be a "dry heat" heating that asphalt this year.

Yes, sir. A guy from my ski club was leaving the ramp yesterday and shouted back, "If you have any half empty water bottles, dump them in the lake before you go. We need all the help we can get!"

True.

That's what I'll probably do for peace of mind.

I've had almost 1 1/2" of rain in the last two hours, and it's not done yet. I would be happy to share if i could. We just finished the 4th hottest July ever in MN.
