Black Carpet?

How hot does this stuff get? I've seen it done a couple times and really like the look, plus it matches the fur of my 170lb Newfoundland, but is it going to hurt my feet when the sun gets to it?

My buddy has black carpet in his boat. It looks sharp and really doesn't get that hot. We're getting in and out of the boat so the carpeting is getting wet, which is helping keep the heat down.

I have black carpet as well... it does get hot at times...esp. if it sits while we have lunch or something. We keep slaps handy!

Thanks for the insight fellas. I'm going to go for it. Up here around 6500 ft I'm too cold more often than too hot, so if it's not going to blister my feet I'm sure I'll be happy with it.

Down here in AZ I have to water down my grey carpet because you can't stand on it!

I'll be going to a much lighter color when I re-carpet.

Good luck!

Matt

My dad's 84 SS had blue carpet in it and it would burn you up.
