Locking passanger seat?

So i was wondering if anyone has installed any kind of locking system to keep the passenger seat secure when not on the boat. I was thinking of something simple... like 2 pieces of metal one on the back of the seat, and one in the fiber glass kinda sticking out which i could pad lock. Of course this is kind of ugly... so any suggestions?

Put in an alarm, pretty easy, not overly expensive and a great theft deterant!

They have a basic Ski Boat system, includes a magnet switch for that locker and deck sensor!

The basic Ski-Boat system was about $350, includes Control module, 2 key fobs, 1, deck sensor, 1 large compartment sensor and 15 watt siren. I am going to add 2 small compartment sensors, 1 for the glove box and the other for the forward access on the port side of the large locker and a 30 watt siren! They are great to work with and will help you through the install. The module will handle the additional upgrades!

In areas where theft is an issue, I have seen more damage done to boats when something is locked as opposed to the value of what is behind the lock. The thiefs see a lock and start ripping seats/compartments because they think something of serious value is behind the lock. Locks seem to distract kids and some lazy thiefs.

Alarms are better but someone has to be around to hear it and do something about it when it goes off.
