Boat Insurance

I have '89 TS 190. Any thoughts on what kind of coverage and which company is best. Thanks for the input.

I had an 89 Prostar 190 and insured it through american family for less than 300 a year (including comprehensive and collision). They were good at taking my money but never made a claim so can't talk to that.

I use Voyager Marine. Recommended at being friendly about taking my money, but not too much of it, on an agreed value policy.

To me, this forum is about love of inboard boats. It is about the sharing of information and, on a good day, some humor. It is not about post count, brand of boat, or any other superfluous labels that lend themselves to a false sense of superiority. Please, respect one another, try to pass on accurate information, and keep your eye on the ball.

I use Motorists because I got a good deal for having my truck insurance with them as well
Came in a lot lower than progressive but I believe that was the main reason

Allstate- Because with the home, cars, toys, etc. combined, it was a fairly good price. However, I have never made a claim on the boat. But, we did just make a claim on my teenage sons car...

It would be interesting to hear from some people that have made claims & how it went.

My boat is covered by Progressive. They covered my gelcoat damage from the storm with no questions asked and my equipment is included. I pay $174 a year.
