Water ski this Sat 1/15 for charity in Tennessee

I love how the sign actually says "SHUT UP & SKI." I would love some open water right now. As it is now, gotta wait until April! Looks like a blast!

My son and I have been doing this event for the past 5 years and we love it. he started when he was just 7 years old. However we will not be able to make it this year. To bad because it is a blast. Great way to brake up the winter and for a good cause.

This Saturday January 15 from 10 am till 3 pm, at Vol Landing, next door to Calhoun’s restaurant. (downtown Knoxville)
Come ski, wakeboard, tube, whatever you like, we can provide equipment. Or just come watch.
Some people dress in fun costumes.
Warm up in the hot tub after you ski.
Get a pull behind tournament boats like Mastercraft, Nautique, or Malibu.

All money raised goes to 3 charities. One charity we work with closely in the summer teaches persons with disabilities to waterski, and helps buy the adaptive water ski equipment needed.
Proceeds benefit the Dream Connection, the Patricia Neal Innovative Recreation Cooperative (PNIRC) and Adventure Amputee Camp.

Each participant needs to raise at least $50 to ski for the charities.

Update: By the way, we were down at the site all day today, getting all the gear in place, and breaking up 1" thick ice and snow off the dock & landing from the last week!
I heard the air high temp was around 38 to 42 deg today, near glass water.
water temp according to depth finder was 37 deg ..... I hope its not accurate.
hot tub for post ski is filled and heating as we speak....

Wish we could but we had a few things happen last week and took the extra money that I had saved for the trip up to Knoxville. Sad to miss this year but we will be back next year!
