Barefoot Boom on 97 PS205

I am thinking of adding a barefoot boom to my 97 ProStar205. I've already added a tower from New Dimension Towers. I am curious if any of you have any advice on what worked well for you. I am not sure if I would need a straight boom, or one of the ones with the offset for the windshield. I am also considering one of the ones that attach to the tower, but am a little apprehensive of it possibly damaging the tower or the boat. Any of you doing this successfully out there?

As always, thanks for your opinion!

David

PS. Pictures of your setup would be greatly appreciated!

I have a 1994 PS205 and would recommended a contour boom. I think the long side window required it but now that the tower is mounted near the end of the window, its really required. I was able to pick mine up on Ebay for half price with a rope.

I tried to find a few picture with and without the tower but i struck out. Nothing real good....

Don't know anything about the tower mount units.

Thanks Double D. (lots of my friends call me Double D growing up). I appreciate your reply and advice. Does your boom connect to the ski pylon? In the photo of the rear of your boat, it almost looks like it is going down into your boat.

We also have a 1997 PS 205 and use the same boom (contoured) as in the pics above. Yes we connect to the pylon.

Yes, just like Ski-Me's photo. It wraps down into the boat and connects to the ski pole.
