Replaced the helm and steering cable in my '77 this year. Piece of cake. Just make sure to get the correct length cable. The length is stamped into the stern end of the cable. Cheap at SKIDIM.

Mine went from arm wrestling to turning with one finger. Huge difference, inexpensive and easy to do.

The bildge looks great 03. I was gogin to do the same thing with my LTD. I am going to wait untill next winter to coat mine. Give it 2 summers to work all the left over grime then give it some fresh white. Keep the pics commin and the good work.
