Great barefooting story
This just happened this evening...
Great barefooting story.... We are way back in a cove getting ready to start barefooting when of course i have to go first. Well everything starts off great. I get up and start my run when we come flying out of the cove we meet a pontoon boat in the middle of the cove. Well we are going 38+mph, so i am thinking how is this going to work. Well the boat driver goes left and i am thinking well i might as well cut out and get close to the boat and show off. As i approach the boat i do the one hander and wave. About that time i feel a fishing line across my legs. Yes, a fishing line. I soon loose concentration and start a great triple flipper fall. As i come out of the water i shout " you better have not did that sh_t on purpose" I then look for the hook. Thank goodness my fall saved me from catching the hook. These guys were old just out having a good time. I soon realized it was my fault for getting so close. They had no idea what was going on. They kept hollering " are you uns ok?" Long story short, Pontoon boats are not just for cruising around. People fish out of them.

now thats funny ... almost spit coffee out my nose
i also learned something this year too. My family and friends were all floating in our cove as i came out one afternoon at 45 mph ... one of our friends swam out to give me a high five as i passed ... so of course i edged out to complete my end of the deal .... slapping hands at 45 mph is not a good idea by the way ... leaves a mark |

Ok, I've got to add to the stupid barefoot stories too.
Back in the day we use to pull 180's in a cove and wip the footer into the lillies and buoys. If you were good you would stradle the buoy, right. These were the old torpedo buoys that stood up out of the water about 30". No one cracked a groin that I know of, but one of my buddies sliced the buoy clear in half with his big toe. Needless to say we ended up at the ER to stich his toe back together, but he does have a pretty nice half buoy for a trophy. |

I footed at our small slalom lake one day. Never use a driver that isn't used to seeing footers. He was watching me and drug me into the course. Had to actually straddle a boat guide!
