cleaning a teak platform
I have a 1997 MC prostar 205. I can not find the thread on how to clean and restore a teak. My teak looks okay, but just needs to be cleaned and shown a little love. I bought it my boat last August, took it out on Labor Day, and then put it in my dad's garage for the winter.
My dad's buddy told me that a cheaper way and gets good results is cleaning the teak with Transmission fluid. Thoughts on that? Anyone have advice on or point me in the right direction on cleaning a teak? I assume sanding would be a no no. I read somewhere about a three step process. Thank you in advance for you help. |

Go to the top left corner where it says Team Talk, open, go to search on the right and punch in Teak, Teak Thread. Anything related to teak will open and browse. Good luck

Teak thread http://mastercraft.com/teamtalk/show...ght=clean+teak
This pdf makes a show shine winner, although most say it's overkill and can make the teak slippery
