Holiday weekend

I was looking forward to putting the boat in the river this weekend. We have one of the best skiing rivers in Texas. Not too crowded most of the time. Long, wide, and pretty enough to always be fun. Very little commercial traffic. Enough idiots to keep it interesting with a few cuties throwed in for good measure. Thanks to Alex and all his rain this normally tame river has come out of its banks and has even trapped a few boats in their boat houses. It will take at least a week to return close to normal after it quits raining. No point in fishing the saltwater bays this weekend. They are flooded and filled with fresh water.-------Guess we will have to go to the beach instead. No BP oil on our beaches yet. Happy July 4, sincerely. Great to be an American from Texas. This is a picture of the flooded river from atop the bridge.
