You see it everywhere and it starts with how we teach our children - in our words and in our actions. You see it in the airports. You see it on the ski slopes. You see it on the game fields. You see it in schools...

Now days it seems to be prevalent to teach our children that everything is about getting ahead of others no matter what the cost and that it is ok to have blatant disregard for others in the process.

One thing that is made easier is that there are plenty of examples to point at to show your children how not to act, should you choose to do so.

I'd modify the above quote just slightly. It is not limited to our country from what I see.

It's become all about "self" and "consideration for others" has withered away in the process.
