1986 TriStar ocean performance? PLEASE advise...
i have an op to buy a 1986 TS....its got a 351 Ford...issue is i will only be using in the ocean.
pretty good chop on some days..at least 2-4ft on most... ![]() want to use it for a lil family fun, no skiing or wb, just cruisin, tubin and some fishin...... ![]() thanx for your help ![]() |

Yeah, what they said.
I recently got an '88 Tristar; great boat, I love it, but would never take it in 4' waves. I've got to be careful when turning around to pick up a skier, when I cross my own wake (not more than 1-2') to keep on the power a bit or it'll break over the bow. I presume that you could run it some decent waves if you kept on the power, but no idea how you'd stop to fish, or turn, or anything like that. |
