The best part of Watts Bar lake is the head waters of the lake, upstream (mile marker 6 - 8) on the Emory river. The waters down toward Rhea / Meigs county and lower Roane county are a little rougher from wind and boat traffic. The (relatively) new 4-lane on highway 27 make it easy to access the upper part of Watts Bar.

I would some what agree, all depends on where ya go.. I know around from our place no one, I mean no one... would ease in a certain cove... Now its stacked with boats, I think boating in general is just busy busy... Then add jet skis... and look out...

Since some people are posting... How about post your boat too.. So maybe could identify ya

I'm currently in a Bryant with a slight Harley Davidson look. Usually with a little boarder behind me. We spend a lot of time at Sand Island.
