1994 Maristar 200

Hi,

I am thinking about purchasing a 1994 Maristar 200, and i don't really know much about them and can't seem to find much info on the web. So, can anyone offer any information on the boat.

You might have better luck searching for it as a maristar 200 VRS. I think there are a good number of threads on here about them, and I beleive the hulls and features were the same up until the late 90's, but not 100% certain on that.

I have a 95 Maristar 200VRS and Iím not sure what differences there are between a 95 and a 94. I traded in my 87 Prostar for the Maristar because the family needed more interior room. I do a have a few issues with my Maristar:
It has the smaller Euro Platform which I still donít like compared to a teak platform.
Some of us (not all) have a porpoising issue. Mine will porpoise over 30 mph with more than 3 or 4 people in the boat. Make sure you do a test drive and bring some friends. Iím still working on my problem. If a motor alignment doesnít fix it, I will add a wake plate.
I had to add an Airguide speedometer because the factory speedo was crap.
Iíve owned my Maristar for 4 years now and Iím still not 100% happy with it. Iíve owned 2 direct drive MCs and it was a big change going to the V-drive. I do all of my own maintenance and EVERYTHING you need to work on is harder to get to on a V-drive!!!!
